Street Pastor Initiative

Churches in Hemel Hempstead are putting together a Street Pastor initiative in the town. A launch was on Wednesday, 24 October 2012 at South Hill Centre. Those that came along found out more about the scheme, how to become a Street Pastor and other ways people can help out. Follow the progress of Hemel Hempstead Street Pastors at http://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/pages/Hemel-Hempstead-Street-Pastors/449139051799210?fref=ts
More about the work of Street Pastors throughout the UK.

Here is the new Street Pastor promotional DVD, that has been sent out to all the churches who are part of the CTHH network. We really would love to recruit more street pastors so we are able to patrol every Friday and Saturday evenings. We are therefore giving churches an opportunity to invite existing Street Pastors to attend Sunday services and share their experiences of being a SP, to encourage more people to apply for this amazing role.

Liberty Tea Rooms and Community Hub

Together, we're building a community, in Hemel Hempstead, where all people can belong, be treated with love & respect, and thrive. We operate with cash only. We’re conveniently located near cash points so you can withdraw cash, we’re always happy to change it into smaller denominations for you. All the prices you see are suggested minimum donations, this covers the basic cost of food and operation but doesn’t cover all the overheads. All the staff are volunteers from local churches & the local community, they're a fantastic team who always endeavour to make your LTR experience the best it can be. We operate with a policy of honesty and trust, we leave you to give what you feel your Liberty Tea Rooms experience is worth. We hope you will share our heart and give generously to enable us to continue to serve and support our local community.

Youth Across Hemel

Our aim is to bring youth leaders and young people together so that we may encourage each other to follow Jesus with passion, have outrageous fun and find friends, while nurturing worship, unity and prayer. Youth Across Hemel has recently taken on the work previously done by Crossover. Youth Across Hemel will be seeking to engage with local secondary schools in Hemel Hempstead and Kings Langley to share the good news with pupil and teachers.

The Mix meets in churches across Hemel that have youth groups, to enable secondary school age pupils to spend time of encouragement and activity together.

Have a look at our website to see what we’ve been up to and check out what’s coming up. We hope to meet you soon!
