Welcome to the Churches Together in Hemel Website. We hope you find it useful for keeping up to date on church events and initiatives which are shared by our local member churches. At the CTHH 2020 AGM held on Zoom, we said thank you, goodbye and God bless to two trustees, Revd David Chapman and Revd Caroline Wainman as they are both called with their families to pastures and ministries new. We also welcomed new trustees, Paul Boggis and Revd Andrew Brazier. Nikki Daily stepped back from the role of Chair of CTHH whilst continuing as a trustee, and Revd Austin Janes has taken on the new role as Chair. He hopes to meet in one way or another with our member churches and provide a supportive space for member churches and leaders to share and work together in worshipping God and serving our communities. Please see 'Our Purpose' at the bottom of this page.
As we step into a new season and new ways of 'Being Church' in these challenging times, CTHH intends to focus on what 'an inclusive church' means to each of our churches. This inclusivity will cover: ability, age, background, gender, and ethnicity. There are other areas of inclusion which are important for individual churches to consider which we will not be covering in the CTHH arena. We are aware of different theological understandings of inclusion and we will encourage absolute respect of everyone's views, even when we differ.
If you have any ideas for CTHH events, activities or areas to explore, or if your Hemel Church wants a visit from the Chair, or if you are new to the area and want to be put in touch with a church, please contact us.
